The Huffington Post has hit the web. I wasn’t expecting much and really didn’t care. When I checked in to read, I only saw one of the very few conservative writers, so I decided to check back in.
Most of it’s not really that good. A flop. But I have to admit, there are some pretty good posts to be found by some conservative writers. It’s more like Daily Kos, which I check into as much as I can so I can see both sides of an issue.

The site begs for comments, a feature that it doesn’t have. And they aren’t even close to Drudge. I think you need to keep an eye on it. But mostly , it’s just a bunch of celebrities. And their site design sure can’t beat mine. Of course, I am a bit biased in that regard.
You can read more here about some of the mess-ups already on HuffPost.
If you like liberal, I can’t even assure you that you’d like this site. It isn’t going on my blogroll, if that says anything. Check it out and tell me what you think.

I visited the Baltimore Zoo today, and even thought they are doing a huge renovation of the majority of the zoo, we had a great time. But what really bugged me was that all hands-on slides and climbing areas were closed, due to the fact they wanted to make sure things were fun and safe. In other words, someone got hurt, complained, and their parents must have sued. Sometimes that really annoys me when I hear about the “If it offends me or I don’t like it, so I’m going to sue.”
People sue like crazy for the most dumb things. Fingers in their ice cream, getting fat eating McDonalds, and many other things. It has absolutely gone crazy. Some things you just need to deal with…choose not to eat from Mickey D’s and you won’t get fat. Don’t be a money grubber and choose to file a lawsuit. That’s just wrong.
And Stuff
As for my shout outs, they would first of all go to The Account by David Ketter. He has some awesome stuff on his blog that you don’t want to miss.
Also, Right Wing News was added to my blogroll. Check in–it’s good stuff.

Thanks for the plug, Tim! Oddly, for as many homeschoolers as I know read my site, I’ve received very few responses. Probably busy grading papers. . .

“Fingers in their ice cream”? Do you mean ice cream on their fingers? What kind of fingers?

I mean real human fingers in their custard…and I think in that case it was real. Makes me sick to think about too.
