Some people act like total nuts day in and day out, providing me as a blogger a chance to continuously stay in business by exposing their extreme nuttiness.
Today’s nuttiness: Student secures right to dance to Christian music…Officials backtrack after confronted with threat of legal action.
A girl choreographed a piece to the music “In Your Presence” in anticipation of a dance team concert in January. But, of course, “School officials…rejected her song choice based on its religious content.”
People, things are getting worse and worse every day, as seen in today’s blog post by Albert Mohler. It’s just totally sick. The political correctness and brainwashing techniques that we’re seeing in the school systems in making me more and more sure of my latest articles on the Public School system.

These are the days you want to be a nutcracker.

Isn’t that the truth!

I was reading along agreeing that it IS nutty for someone to take a song about being in God’s presence as background for a dance routine contest. When are we going to re-gain some sense of the appropriate, the sacred, the “set-apartness” which God commands; and quit using “God things” as accompaniment to any and every kind of activity. Ironically there is something almost sane–not nutty–in the school officials being the ones to realize that the message and the movement/method of “giving a testimony” just don’t fit!

Have to disagree Liz…you have the “not of the world” part right but you’re forgetting the “in the world” part. That’s almost as ridiculous as saying that we need to wear special clothes so we don’t look like the rest of the world…

Yeah, I agree. I don’t think things will continue to get worse though, mainly because I think “normal” and moral folks are starting to become much more outspoken.

[...] Last night something hit me like a lighting bolt as I picked up my Bible, which had been being neglected the past few days. I read the verse above, and some surrounding verses, and I thought about today’s society and all the horrible things we’re seeing in this day and age. [...]

Horrible things ARE happening. Last night I was thinking about all the natrual disasters we’ve been seeing recently. A sign of the End Times? I certaintly think so! Yesterday around 3:00 PM a devastating earthquake hit Pakistan. 20,000 died. People from all around the world are rushing in supplies and help. It made me think… first it was the tsunami, and then it was New Orleans, and then Rita, and now this! In between there were some other things, too. Doesn’t it seem like the beginnings of birth pangs that the Bible talks about? Coupled with the steady decline of society… well, I think that the day of Jesus’ return is drawing nearer and nearer!

You make a good point, Lindsey…
However, that does NOT mean that we need to give up the fight and just sit back, kick up our feet, and wait for our Lord to return. The Scriptures are very clear in warning AGAINST that. “Woe for that servant whom his master finds slacking on that day.”

Oh, no! I most certaintly did not mean that we should give up! That is why there are such good colleges out there, like Patrick Henry in Virgina, that train up young people to be strong Christian leaders, in political areas and others in today’s world. As much as we can pray with John, “Come, Lord Jesus, come!” it is true that it is only God’s grace so more can come to be saved before Christ’s return, or He would come now. I can’t think of the verse that supports that, though…anyway, while we’re waiting for Jesus to come, we need to be active in our Savior’s work. I agree with that totally. But just think… it is certaintly an exciting prospect that it may be in our lifetimes when we see the return of Jesus!

Makes me wonder if “Generation X” was really just a fluke. Wouldn’t we be Generation Z? Unless my kindergarten education failed me, that’s the last letter. I could be wrong, but that seems to be a little more than coincedence.

What is Generation X?

[...] Well, we pretty much can know. And I doubt it’s the sanctity of marriage. It’s the humanistic teachings that glorify man and promote tolerance and acceptance of all religions. We’re all good deep down inside, and education will fix all of man’s problems. Or not. [...]
