Patricia E. Bauer, a former reporter and bureau chief for The Washington Post, warns that prenatal testing techniques have shifted the medical question from an ability to abort babies judged to be defective to a duty to abort. She’s right of course, and the shift in this logic is inevitable. Once human dignity is redefined in terms of “acceptable” and ‘unacceptable” babies, it is only a short jump to the argument that no one should be allowed to impose a “defective” baby on the society.

Whoa… things are getting worse and worse. I can’t believe that they actually said that! That is just unbelievable, but I know it is true. What is happening to our society??

Breakdown of the family, and the degrading of the value of life.

Speaking of the degrading of the value of life, Did you know that Saddam Hussein is pleading innocent??? He killed and tortured so many thousands of people, and yet he pleads innocent in court! I can’t believe it… You can read the whole story at http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051019/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_saddam_trial.

It’s a shame, a real shame that things are coming to this.

I know
October 19th, 2005 at 4:19 pm
But what can we do?
October 19th, 2005 at 4:22 pm
Well, I think that blogs like this one help
October 19th, 2005 at 4:31 pm
But we need to reach other people too.
October 19th, 2005 at 5:04 pm
Oh, you mean like the ones who would actually consider aborting thier child? Yes, I agree, but how?
October 19th, 2005 at 10:21 pm
It’s amazing how easy it is to justify crime when you really want to.
One thing we can do is learn how to defend our ideas against abortionists. Because God is in control, we can count on the fact that there will always be an answer showing why an abortionist argument is wrong. One website with good information on how to argue for Christian values is Stand to Reason.

How disgusting…. These reports are terrible…
October 20th, 2005 at 12:52 pm
Tim, what do you think happens to all these aborted babies? Do you think that they go to heaven, or hell? It is a hard question, because our sin involves Adamic Sin Nature, and Personal Sin. Babies that are aborted have Adamic sin, but not personal sin. What’s your take on this?
October 20th, 2005 at 1:50 pm
Oh yes, and there is also adamic sin guilt, or original sin, to take into consideration…
My pastor did a great presentation on adamic sin guilt, adamic sin nature, personal sin, and the gospel at http://www.frankgriffith.net. Click on the link that says soteriology 1. He was teaching at Grace School of Theology, and it is very fascinating. It relates very closely to the issue of infant death, and so I thought I would mention it here.

I’m going to respond in a post

This sounds like the nazis.. Developing the perfect society.
While I am prochoice, I donnot believe that “cleaning up the gene pool” is a good idea.
Ya’ll have a way of getting off topic…
I also don’t agree that blogs are going to change the course of this nation, espessially not for the better.
October 20th, 2005 at 3:02 pm
Do you mind if I ask you why exactly you are prochoice?
October 20th, 2005 at 8:48 pm
Well…Bonie/Clyde….
It’s really not off-topic. You see the motivation as wrong but that’s it. For us, it goes much deeper than that. Not only is the motivation wrong, but the action is. Of course, that is a subject of debate but it’s good to see we agree that the motivation is wrong!
