I had trouble closing my dresser drawers this afternoon. I pushed harder on the thick padding of shirts and pants. No movement. It was full – really, really full. I tossed the remaining pieces of clothing from the neatly folded laundry pile back onto my bed.
Now I must interject, it’s not that this dresser [...]

You Said It

This is why I admire and appreciate Dr. Albert Mohler so much. He’s one of the men I most admire in the evangelical sphere and one of the greatest men I’ve ever met. I’d ecourage you to tune into his radio show every day–you’ll be much better because of it.

While the church is an obvious part of the scriptures. It is important to understand what the true church is. It is not a building. It is not a structure. It is the body of Christians. So if some one is not going to an “official” church, yet they have fellowship with other believers. I would not judge them.

    Those are my thoughts.

I certainly agree. But this caller seems to have had just one bad experience and has given up on the whole idea all of a sudden, which certainly is not fair.

  3. Sparky Says:

The caller said that the new testament books were written to Christians, not to Churches. When we hear someone tell us something about the Bible, whether or not they are saved, we need to check it out ourselves.

“Unto the Church of God which is at Corinth…” 1 Cor. 1:2

“…unto the church of God which is at Corinth,” 2 Cor. 1:1

“…unto the churches of Galatia:” Galatians 1:2

    “…unto the church of the Thessalonians…” 1 Thess. 1:1

    “…unto the church of the Thessalonians…” 2 Thess. 1:1

Book of Revelation was written to 7 asian churches. Rev. 2-3.

My point isn’t specifically about what the caller said, my point is that we need to be like the Bereans of Acts 17:11 and search the scriptures when we hear things.
